Remove the spring strut support bearing
Preliminary work:
- Refer to REMOVING THE COVER IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT ON THE REAR LEFT OR RIGHT .
- Refer to REMOVING THE LATERAL HOOD SEAL .
- Refer to PARTIALLY DETACHING THE FRONT SPRING STRUT .
- Refer to REMOVING FRONT LEFT OR RIGHT WHEEL .
- Refer to LOOSENING THE OUTPUT SHAFT FROM THE WHEEL BEARING .
- Refer to DETACHING THE UPPER WISHBONE FROM THE SWIVEL BEARING .
- Refer to SECURING THE SWIVEL BEARING .
- Refer to REMOVING THE SPRING STRUT HOLDER .
- Refer to REMOVING FRONT SPRING STRUT .
- Refer to PREPARING THE SPRING TENSIONER .
- Refer to TENSIONING THE COIL SPRING .
NOTE:
Releasing and tightening the nut on the support bearing or spring strut support bearing with an impact screwdriver is prohibited.
- Release nut with special tool 0 496 514 (33 0 040).
- Remove the spring strut support bearing (1) with the spring pad.
