Installing the spring strut support bearing

• Check the spring pad (1) for damage, replace as necessary.
• Align the spring pad (1) correctly with the spring strut support bearing (2) according to the mark.

• Check the spring strut, auxiliary damper, protective tube and spring pad (2) for damage, replace if necessary.
• Align the coil spring end (1) on the spring pad (2) with the stop.

• Mount the strut mount on the piston rod of the suspension strut.
• Align the coil spring end (1) at the spring pad (2) to the stop.

  NOTE: Releasing and tightening the nut on the support bearing or spring strut support bearing with an impact screwdriver is prohibited.
  • Replace nut.

  • Tighten the nut of the spring strut support bearing (1) with the special tool 0 496 514 (33 0 040)  .

  Front spring strut support bearing to spring strut
  M12 Replace nut.	tightening torque  34 Nm
