Tightening the screw connections on the wheel carrier
NOTE:
TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Tighten the screw connection in the NORMAL POSITION .
Tighten the screw connection in the NORMAL POSITION .
- Release the screw (1) one turn on the control arm.
- Tighten the screw (1) on the control arm in NORMAL POSITION .TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION
Control arm to wheel carrier M16
Replace screw.
Tighten in NORMAL POSITION .Joining torque 165 Nm Angle of rotation 90° - Release the screw (2) on the spring strut by a revolution.
- Tighten the screw (2) on the spring strut in NORMAL POSITION .TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION
Rear spring strut to wheel carrier M16
Replace screw.
Tighten in NORMAL POSITION .tightening torque 250 Nm TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATIONRear air suspension to wheel carrier M16
Replace screw.
Tighten in NORMAL POSITION .250 Nm - Release the screw (1) one turn on the control link.
- Tighten the screw (1) on the control link to the NORMAL POSITION .NOTE: Use the torque wrench with ring spanner attachment.TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION
Track arm to wheel carrier M14
Replace screw.
Tighten in NORMAL POSITION .Joining torque 165 Nm Angle of rotation 90° - Release the nut (2) on the trailing arm by a revolution.
- Tighten the nut (2) on the trailing arm in NORMAL POSITION .
If applicable, counter-hold the screw (1).
TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATIONTrailing arm to wheel carrier M12
Replace screw and nut.
Tighten in NORMAL POSITION .Joining torque 100 Nm Angle of rotation 90°
