Draw off and dispose of contaminated refrigerant R1234yf

Precondition
Engine at operating temperature and switched off.
WARNING:

- Conduct all work in appropriate personal protective equipment only.
NOTE:
TECHNICAL INFORMATION Use the following procedure only when the A/C service station detects contaminated refrigerant R1234yf prior to drawing off the refrigerant circuit.Observe national/country-specific regulations!
- Please note the applicable repair information!
- Place cooler box in front of the vehicle as shown.
- Place the mounting for the pressure cylinder into the cooler box.
- Place the pressure cylinder into the cooler box.
- Connect the connecting hose on the valve of the pressure cylinder.
- Open the valve on the pressure cylinder.
- Let the blower of the heating and air conditioning system run at the medium setting.
- Wear safety goggles and protective gloves.
- Connect the connecting hose to the low-pressure connection on the vehicle.
- Fill the cooler box with operating fluid for cooling at the side of the pressure cylinder and distribute evenly.
- Do not cover the upper section of the pressure cylinder with the valve with operating fluid!
- Open the low-pressure connection on the vehicle.
- Draw off the refrigerant circuit for 30 minutes.
- Close the low-pressure connection on the vehicle and the valve on the pressure cylinder.
- Remove the connecting hose.
- Place the cooler box with the pressure cylinder in a warm location to allow the remaining operating fluid for cooling to evaporate.
- Take off the protective equipment.
- Remove the air conditioning compressor.
- Drain the refrigerant oil from the air conditioning compressor into a measuring cup.
- Write down the drained amount of refrigerant oil.
- Dispose of the drained refrigerant oil.
- Fill in fresh refrigerant oil that is approved for the vehicle: Filling capacity = recorded quantity + 15 ml
- Install the air conditioning compressor.
- Evacuate the refrigerant circuit twice.
- Fill the refrigerant circuit with R1234yf (amount of refrigerant as per type plate).
- Fill out the delivery note and hand over the pressure cylinder to the waste management company.
