Cover/clean the connectors and plug connections

Make sure that the connectors and plug connections do not come into contact with dirt or liquids. If necessary, cover all connectors and plug connections with suitable materials.
If necessary, clean the connectors with original BMW brake cleaner and compressed air.
Make sure that the seals of the connectors are positioned correctly and not damaged after cleaning with compressed air.
