Remove the radial shaft seal with the special tool
Preliminary work
- Refer to REMOVING THE ACOUSTIC COVER .
- Refer to RELEASE THE COOLANT EXPANSION TANK FROM THE HOLDERS .
- Refer to REMOVE LEFT CHARGE AIR COOLER .
- Refer to BLOCK THE BELT TENSIONER WITH THE SPECIAL TOOL .
- Refer to REMOVING DRIVE BELT .
- Refer to LOOSEN THE SCREW CONNECTION ON THE VIBRATION DAMPER .
- Refer to ATTACH THE SPECIAL TOOL TO THE HOUSING .
- Refer to UNSCREW THE CENTRAL BOLT ON THE VIBRATION ABSORBER .
- Position all levers 2 from the special tool 0 493 923 (11 9 410) to the radial shaft seal horizontally.
- Turn the spindle of the special tool 0 493 923 (11 9 410) back until all levers (2) can be positioned at the sealing lip.
- Pull the radial shaft seal off with the spindle (3) of the special tool 0 493 923 (11 9 410) .
