Installing the electric A/C compressor (EKK)

• Check the fitting sleeves (1) on the carrier (2) for damage, replace the fitting sleeves if necessary.

• Insert the electric A/C compressor (EKK) (2) from top and position it correctly.
• Tighten the screws (1).

• Replace O-rings.

  Parts  : O-rings

• Correctly position the refrigerant line (2) and fit to the electric A/C compressor (EKK).
• Tighten the screws (1).

• Connect connectors (3) and lock.
• Correctly position vacuum line (2).
• Tighten down screw (1).

• Replace screws (2) and (3).

  Parts  : screws.

• Position high-voltage cable (5) and connect and lock the connector (4).
• Tighten down screw (3).

• Tighten down screw (2).

• Insert the coolant hose (1) in the holder (arrow) and close the holder.
• Install holder (2).
• Insert the coolant hoses (1) from the holder (2).

Follow-up works 

• Install INTAKE PLENUM .
• Install the tank VENT VALVE .
• Install control unit BRACKET .
• Install the integrated POWER SUPPLY MODULE (PDM).
• Install the DME CONTROL UNIT .
• Install RESONATOR .
• Evacuate and charge CONDITIONING .
• Reconnect all battery GROUND LEADS .
• Activate HIGH-VOLTAGE SYSTEM .
• Install flap in right luggage compartment TRIM PANEL .
• Fill and vent the low-temperature COOLANT CIRCUIT .
• Install rear acoustic COVER
• Install acoustic COVER .
• Install the rear front HOOD SEAL .
• Install the UNDERBODY PROTECTION of the steering gear or the front thrust field.
• Install the front UNDERBODY PROTECTION or front thrust field.
• Take hood out of the SERVICE POSITION .
