Removing retaining ring from exterior rearview mirror
NOTE:
Description is for left component only. Procedure on the right side is identical.
Preliminary works
- Remove the mirror GLASS .
- Remove the exterior mirror PROTECTIVE CAP .
- Remove the exterior mirror ADJUSTMENT DRIVE .
- Loosen screws (1).
- If necessary, feed out cable.
- Guide out retaining ring of exterior rearview mirror (2) in forward direction.
