Remove brake booster

Preliminary work 

• Remove the rear left engine compartment COVER
• Remove the rear right engine compartment COVER .
• Remove left and right WIPER ARM .
• Remove the cowl COVER .
• Remove spring bolt TRAILING LINK .
• Remove wiper CONSOLE .
• Remove the pedal mechanism TRIM PANEL .
• Remove EXPANSION TANK .
• Remove the tandem brake MASTER CYLINDER .
• Remove the brake LIGHT SWITCH .

• Remove air duct (1).

• Loosen the screws (1) and remove the cover (2).
• Expose brake lines (3).

• Remove check valve (1) from brake booster in the arrow direction.
• Uncover vacuum line from the holder (2).

• Retract release tool 2 409 646  between brake pedal and brake booster.
• Put support (1) of the release tool 2 409 646  on the bearing bracket. If necessary position the support fixed by rotating the screw on the release tool.

• Press the release tool 2 409 646  in arrow direction and lever out brake pedal from the brake booster.

• Loosen nuts (1).

• Unscrew the brake booster (1) from the firewall.
