Removing the 48 V battery
Preliminary work
- Deactivate the 48 v ELECTRICAL SYSTEM .
- Bring front compartment lid in the SERVICE POSITION .
- Remove the acoustic COVER .
- Disconnect all battery GROUND LEADS .
- Remove the rear left engine compartment COVER
- Remove the rear right engine compartment COVER .
- Remove left and right WIPER ARM .
- Remove the cowl COVER .
- Remove the right shock tower TENSION STRUT .
WARNING:
Hot surfaces.

- Perform all work only on components that have cooled down.

Use commercially available pinch-off tools to pinch off the coolant hoses.

- Release the positive terminal cover (1).
- Unscrew the nut below it.
- Detach the positive battery cable (2) from the 48 V battery (3) and secure laterally.
- Use commercially available disconnection tools to disconnect the coolant lines.
- Disconnect the coolant lines (1) with the disconnection tools (2).
- Loosen screw (3).
- Release the coolant temperature sensor.
- Release the cover cap (1) by turning.
- Release screws underneath.
- Release detents (1) and remove cover (2).
- Loosen screw (1).
- Feed out the 48 V battery (1) with the battery tray.
