Installing the drive belt for the coolant pump
NOTE:
TECHNICAL INFORMATION
If the drive belt is reused: Mark direction of travel and reinstall drive belt in same direction of travel.
If the drive belt is reused: Mark direction of travel and reinstall drive belt in same direction of travel.
NOTE:
TECHNICAL INFORMATION
The drive belt must be replaced if contaminated with coolant- and oil residues.
The drive belt must be replaced if contaminated with coolant- and oil residues.
- Feed in drive belt (1) and position.
If necessary, observe the indicated direction of rotation.
- Ensure that the drive belt (1) of the coolant pump is positioned correctly in the marked area on the coolant pump (3).
- Ensure that the drive belt (1) of the coolant pump is positioned correctly in the marked area on the vibration damper (2).
- Ensure that the drive belt (1) of the coolant pump is positioned correctly in the marked area
on the tensioning pulley (4).
- Tighten tensioning pulley in direction of arrow up to the limit position.
- Replace nut (1),
Parts: Nut
- Tighten nut (1).TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION
Nut on belt tensioner M10
Replace nut.Tightening torque 38 Nm Check
- Check if the Torx socket (2) is in the marked area (arrow),
Result
» The Torx socket (2) is outside the marked area,
Measure
- Tension drive belt again.
- Install the cover (1).
