Installing the component carrier

• Check the centering sleeves (1) in the marked  area for damage, replace centering sleeves (1) if necessary.

• Clean sealing surfaces (1) with special tool 0 495 102 (11 4 470)  .

• Guide the connecting pipe (1) out of the component carrier (2) in the arrow direction  and remove.

• Replace the sealing rings (1) on the connecting pipe (2).
• Parts:  Sealing rings
• Wet the sealing rings (1) with coolant before installation.

• Insert and install the connecting pipe (1) on the component carrier (2) in the direction of the arrow.

• Replace sealing ring (1).

  CAUTION: Heavy component. 
  Heavy components can lead to injury or damage. 

  • Remove and install heavy components with the aid of another person/other persons.
• Insert and install the component carrier (1) with the connecting pipe (2).

  NOTE: Lay air conditioning compressor aside with support person to be able to tighten screws on component carrier better.
• Hand-tighten the bolts (1).

• Tighten down screws (1).

• Secure clamps (1).

• Connect and lock coolant line (1).
• Make sure that the coolant line (1) engages audibly.

• Insert and install the air conditioning compressor (3).
• Tighten down screws (2).
  TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION
  
  

  Air conditioning compressor in component carrier
  M10	Tightening torque	38 Nm

• Connect and lock the connector (1).
• Make sure the connector (1) engages audibly.

• Insert and install the holder (2).
• Tighten down screw (1).
