Installing the catalytic converter for cylinders 5 to 8 (Without Gasoline Particulate Filter)

• Replace seals on exhaust turbocharger.

  Parts:  Seals

• Guide in and install the catalytic converter (1) for cylinders 5 to 8 in the arrow direction.
• Connect the catalytic converter (1) for cylinders 5 to 8 to the exhaust turbocharger.

• Guide in and install the catalytic converter (1) for cylinders 1 to 4 in the arrow direction.
• Connect the catalytic converter (1) for cylinders 1 to 4 to the exhaust gas turbocharger.

• Replace clamps (1) and (2).

  Parts:  Clamps

• Mount clamps (1) and (2) and tighten.

  The circlips (1) and (2) must be mounted with the screw connection to the inside.

  Tightening torques

  Catalytic converter to exhaust turbocharger
  cl Replace clamp after disassembly.	Tightening torque	14 Nm

• Install holder (4).
• Tighten down screws (1).

  M8x20	Tightening torque	21 Nm

• Tighten down screws (2).

  M8x20	Tightening torque	21 Nm

• Tighten down screw (3).
  TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION

  M8x20	Tightening torque	21 Nm

• Install holder (4).
• Tighten down screws (1).

  For equipment specification without SA1DC gasoline particulate filter 

  WARNING: Hot exhaust system. 
  Risk of burning! 

  • Any work must exclusively be carried out with an exhaust system that has cooled down.
• Mount catalytic converter for cylinders 1 to 4 on holder.
• Replace screws (1).

• Tighten down screws (1).

  Catalytic converter to holder
  M8x20 Replace screw.	Tightening torque	19 Nm

• Mount catalytic converter for cylinders 5 to 8 on holder.
• Replace nuts (1).

• Tighten nuts (1).

  M8 Nut Replace nut.	Tightening torque	23 Nm
