- Remove the chain (1).
- Remove the top timing chain (1) and the tensioning rail (2).
- Press in the chain tensioner piston (1) using a screwdriver (2) up to the stop and secure using special tool 0 491 012 (11 4 120).
- Loosen the screws (1) and remove the chain tensioner (2).
- Loosen the bearing journal (1) and remove the tensioning rail (2).
- Loosen the bearing journal (3) and remove the guide rail (4).
- Release the screw (1) and remove the camshaft sprocket (2).
- Remove the bottom timing chain.
