CAUTION:

Risk of damaging the transmission by mixing ATF and transmission fluid (MTF) through the same bleeder.

- The transmission filled with ATF and (MTF) transmission fluid must be tilted a maximum of 15° in lateral and longitudinal direction.

- If more of an incline is needed, then the ATF and MTF transmission fluids must be drained.

- Drain the ATF. Refer to ATF, DRAINING AND FILLING .

- Drain the transmission fluid. Refer to TRANSMISSION FLUID, DRAINING AND FILLING .

-- Secure the transmission -1- to the Lifting Device: T40406 .

-4- = Hook and Support Tool : T40406 /1 for transmission without electric drive motor.
Depending on the transmission fluid level the shackle in the rail with holes -arrow- can vary to reach the correct adjustment.

-- Lift and transport the transmission with the Shop Crane: VAS 6100 -3-.

To prevent damaging the transmission fluid pump -A- when placing the transmission on the oil pan -C-, for support a commercially available M10 bolt approximately 100 mm (3.94 in.) long -B- must be installed on the rear of the transmission housing.
