Coolant Pump Toothed Belt, Removing And Installing: Removing

All except Audi Q7/Q8:

-- Remove the engine cover. Refer to ENGINE COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

Audi Q7/Q8:

Refer to the appropriate service information.

Audi A4/A5 and Q5 without High-Voltage System:

-- Drain the coolant. Refer to DRAIN THE COOLANT .

-- Lift the clamps -1 and 2- and remove the coolant hoses and push them to the side.

-- Remove the Oil Pressure Switch, Level 3 -F447-. Refer to Oil Pressure Switch, Level 3 -F447-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

Have a second technician counterhold the crankshaft as follows:

-- Vehicles with vibration damper, version 1. Refer to Fig 2: to do so, use the Wrench - 21mm: T40263 , Adapter: T40314 and 24mm socket to counterhold the vibration damper.

-- Vehicle with vibration damper, version 2. Refer to Fig 2: counterhold the crankshaft at the vibration damper using the Offset Open-End Wrench - 24 mm.

The drive wheel bolt has a left thread.

-- Remove the bolt on the drive wheel -1- for the coolant pump and loosen three turns -arrow-. Use Torque Wrench 1410: VAG1410 and Torque Wrench 1331 Insert - Ring Wrench - 12mm: T10360 .

-- Remove the toothed belt -2-.
