New Sunroof Frame, Preparing For Installation: Notes

Special tools and workshop equipment required 

• Cleaning Solution :D 009 401 04 

Procedure 

-- Turn the adjusting mechanism on the sunroof frame all the way to the left in direction of -arrows-.

-- Clean the adhesive surface with Cleaning Solution :D 009 401 04  and let dry.

• The vehicle and the sunroof frame must be at room temperature.
• The adhesive surfaces must be free of dirt and grease.
• The surface must be primed before applying adhesive.
• The sunroof frame must be inserted within 15 minutes of applying the adhesive.

Primer, Applying:

-- Use the applicator -3- to apply the Glass/Paint Primer :D 009 200 02  -1- evenly in a single stroke on the sunroof frame -2- and let dry for ten minutes.

• Pay attention to the different distances to the edge of the sunroof frame. Refer to Adhesive Application: .
• Begin applying with a saturated piece of felt.
• Primer width 20 mm.
• Apply primer in center of adhesive bead.
• Drying time: 10 minutes
