Installing the steering gear

• Install the steering gear.

  Tighten the screws (1).

  TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION
  
  

  Steering box to front axle support
  M12 Replace screws and nuts.	Joining torque	96 Nm
  	Angle of rotation	90°

• Clip in the cable conduit (2) on the front axle support.

  Connect the connector (1).

Follow-up work 

• Attach the steering gear UNIVERSAL JOINT .
• Install both TIE ROD ENDS
• Install the front axle support ANTI-ROLL BAR
• If installed: secure ACTIVE STABILIZER (additional work for ARS)
• Install the UNDERBODY PROTECTION of the steering gear or the front thrust field.
• Install the front UNDERBODY PROTECTION or front thrust field.
• Install the front left and right WHEELS .
• Perform CHASSIS ALIGNMENT CHECK .
• Replacement: Commission (INITIALIZATION) of the electromechanical steering
• CHECK the airbag for function.
