Preliminary work
- DEACTIVATE the 48 v electrical system.
- Disconnect all battery GROUND LEADS .
- Remove the front left and right WHEELS .
- Remove the front UNDERBODY PROTECTION/FRONT THRUST FIELD .
- Remove the UNDERBODY PROTECTION of the steering gear and thrust field respectively.
- Remove the STIFFENING PLATE .
- Remove both TRACK END RODS
- If installed: release the ACTIVE STABILIZER (additional work for ARS).
- Remove UNIVERSAL JOINT .
- Disconnect connector (1).
Carefully unclip cable duct (2) from front axle support with screwdriver.
Carefully unclip wiring harness mounting (3) and lay wiring harness to one side.
- Loosen screws (1) from stabilizer mount and remove active stabilizer (2) at front axle support.
- Undo screws (1) and remove steering gear (2) toward the bottom.
