Remove coil spring

- All work on pyrotechnic parts may be carried out by technically experienced and appropriately trained personnel only

Preliminary work
- Deactivate the 48 v ELECTRICAL SYSTEM .
- Disconnect all battery EARTH LEADS .
- Remove rear left or right WHEEL .
- Remove rear wheel arch COVER .
- Remove the camber control arm COVER .
- Remove the storage shelf TRIM PANEL .
- Remove rear upper SEAT BELT .
- Set the SOUNDPROOFING mat aside.
- Remove rear spring strut SHOCK ABSORBER .
- Prepare the SPRING TENSIONER
- Tension the COIL SPRING .
NOTE:
TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Releasing and tightening the nut on the support bearing or strut mount with an impact screwdriver is prohibited.
Releasing and tightening the nut on the support bearing or strut mount with an impact screwdriver is prohibited.
- Unscrew the nut with special tools 2 355 965 and 2 355 966 .
- Remove the spring strut support bearing (1) with the spring pad.
- Remove the spring strut shock absorber (1) including the auxiliary damper and the spring pad from the tensioned coil spring (2).
- Relieve tension on special tool 0 493 556 (31 3 341) .
- Remove the coil spring (1) from the special tool 2 318 833.
