Install the central mount of the prop shaft

Slide the central mount (1) onto the prop shaft.
The collar (2) must point in the driving direction toward the front prop shaft.
Central mount diameter 30 mm (black sealing ring):
Slide on the central mount (1) all the way to the stop using special tool 0 491 491 (23 1 160) .
Central mount diameter 35 mm (blue sealing ring):
Slide on the central mount (1) all the way to the stop using special tool 0 492 074 (33 1 020) .

Installing the boot of the center bearing
Apply an even coating of grease to longitudinal splines on propeller shaft.

Push boot (1) onto the groove (2) and make sure it fits firmly.

If applicable, insert a new clamping ring (1) into the front propeller shaft (2) .

Push the front propeller shaft (3) according to the marking you have made onto the longitudinal splines of the rear propeller shaft (4) .
The marks must be aligned (arrows).
Push boot (1) onto the groove (2) and make sure it fits firmly.

Push the juncture shaft together in the direction of the arrow.
