Installing the grooved ball bearing in the propeller shaft center bearing

• Lubricate the rubber-coated bearing carrier of the propeller shaft center bearing (1) with lubricant.

• Press in the grooved ball bearing using special tools 0 492 262 (33 3 202)  and 0 492 263 (33 3 203)  into the propeller shaft center bearing (1).

Follow-up work 

• Install the CENTRAL MOUNT  of the prop shaft.
• Completely install the PROP SHAFT  (plug-in - rear flexible disc).
• Install the RETAINING PLATES .
• Install the HEAT SHIELDS .
• If installed: install the right, and on the left TORSION STRUT where required.
• Install the CONNECTING SUPPORTS on the tunnel.
• Install the UNDERBODY PLANKING of the transmission on the side.
• Install rear UNDERBODY PROTECTION .
