Install the front prop shaft
CAUTION:

- Remove and install heavy components with the aid of another person/other persons.
- Replace the O-ring (1) before the installation of the prop shaft.

- Keep the removed transfer box at the level of the installation position on the transmission with the aid of a support person.
- Attach the prop shaft (1) on the drive flange (3).
- Align the prop shaft (1) with the markings (2) and (4).
- Push the prop shaft (1) into the drive flange (3) in the arrow direction up to the stop.
- Before installing the prop shaft on the front axle transmission, all 4 threads (1) in the front axle transmission flange must be freed of possible residue and contaminations and cleaned.
- Replace screws.

- Before the screw connection, a drop of Loctite 270 (2) must be placed on each thread on the end of respective screw (1).CONSUMABLE - LUBRICANT DESCRIPTION

After the screw connection of the front prop shaft, a 30 minute hardening time must be ensured before the vehicle is operated again. - Tighten the screws (arrows).
TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION

Follow-up work
- Install the TRANSFER BOX (ATC 13-1).
- Fasten the PROP SHAFT (partially removed)
- Install the RETAINING PLATES .
- Install the HEAT SHIELDS .
- Install the complete EXHAUST SYSTEM .
- If installed: install the right, and on the left TORSION STRUT where required.
- Install the CONNECTING SUPPORTS on the tunnel.
- Install transmission CROSS MEMBER .
- Install the UNDERBODY PLANKING of the transmission on the side.
- Install rear UNDERBODY PROTECTION .
- Disconnect tall battery GROUND LEADS .
- Activate the 48 v ELECTRICAL SYSTEM .
