Install the charging power socket

• Guide the high-voltage starter charging cable (4) into position.

  WARNING: Potential equalization in high-voltage system.
  Mortal hazard if the potential equalization screw connection is not correct! 
  • Observe the safety requirements for the potential equalization screw connection.
  • Clean contact faces and have then checked by a second person.
  • Tighten the screws/nuts for potential equalization with torque; have a second person check the torque.
  • Correct execution of these tasks must be documented in the vehicle records by both persons.
• Tighten nut (2).

  Holder on wheel well
  Plastic nut M6	Tightening torque	2.6 Nm

• Clip in the holder (3).
• Tighten nut (1).

  Potential equalization screw connection on wheel well
  M6	Tightening torque	8 Nm

• Secure the line clip (2) on the high-voltage charging cable (3).
• Clip in the line clip (1).

• Plug connection (1) at the convenience charging electronics (KLE) (2) and lock.

• Insert and clip in the retaining strap (2).
• Connect plug connection (1) and lock.

• Position the charging power socket (4).
• Tighten down screws (1).

  Nut M6	Tightening torque	6 Nm

• Connect plug connection (2) and lock.
• Connect plug connection (3) and lock.

Follow-up work 

• Install the high-voltage charging socket COVER HOUSING .
• Raise front axle SUPPORT .
• Tighten the left and right front axle support SCREWS .
• Secure the bottom wishbone SPRING STRUT .
• Secure the swivel bearing top WISHBONE .
• Remove the mobile LIFTING TABLE .
• Attach the steering gear UNIVERSAL JOINT .
• If installed: connect the active stabilizer CONNECTOR
• Install the left and right steering assembly COVER .
• Secure front right and left BRAKE HOSE .
• Secure the left and right to the anti-roll bar anti-roll bar LINK .
• If installed: install the stationary heating SILENCER .
• Install the front left and bottom right wheel arch COVER
• Install left and right brake VENTILATION DUCT .
• Secure the front axle support EPS WIRING HARNESS .
• Install the left and right engine mount REINFORCEMENT STRUT
• Install the UNDERBODY PROTECTION of the steering gear or the front thrust field
• Install the front UNDERBODY PROTECTION/FRONT THRUST FIELD
• Reconnect all battery GROUND LEADS .
• ACTIVATE  high-voltage system.
