Replacing coolant radiator
Prerequisite
- Ignition is switched off.

- Conduct all work in the vehicle wearing appropriate personal protective equipment only.

Residual pressure in the heating and air conditioning system.

- Wear safety goggles and protective gloves when disconnecting the refrigerant line.
- Close the refrigerant lines with seal plugs.

- Observe and uphold safety instructions on the containers and the notices on the safety data sheets of the manufacturers.

Preliminary work
- Refer to SUCTION THE AIR CONDITIONING .
- Refer to REMOVING THE COVER ON LEFT AND RIGHT IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT AT THE TOP .
- Refer to REMOVING LEFT INTAKE FILTER HOUSING WITH LEFT FRONT-END STRUT .
- Refer to REMOVING RIGHT INTAKE FILTER HOUSING WITH RIGHT FRONT-END STRUT .
- Refer to REMOVE FRONT CROSS CONNECTION .
- Refer to REMOVE THE REAR TOP CROSS CONNECTION .

- Refer to REMOVE THE COOLANT RADIATOR WITH THE AIR CONDITIONING CONDENSER .
- Remove A/C condenser
- Unlock the detents (1).
- Feed out and remove the air conditioning condenser from the guides (2) toward the top.
- Unlock and remove the coolant temperature sensor (2) on the previous radiator at the detents (1).
- Check sealing ring (1) for damage and, if necessary, replace it.
- Install and lock the coolant temperature sensor (2) in the new radiator at the detents (1).
- Install air conditioning condenser
- Position the air conditioning condenser.
- Feed the air conditioning condenser upwards into the guides (2).
- Lock the detents (1).
