- Secure the vehicle hoist against lowering and lifting.
NOTE:
TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Perform wheel alignment after installation.
Perform wheel alignment after installation.
Preliminary work
- Remove the rear left and right WHEELS .
- Remove the tank COVERS .
- Remove EXHAUST SYSTEM
- If installed: remove the torsion struts MOUNTING BLOCK .
- Remove the left and right camber control arm COVER .
- Remove the rear HEAT SHIELD .
- Release the rear axle differential PROPELLER SHAFT .
- Release the rear axle differential left and right OUTPUT SHAFT .
- Remove rear AXLE DIFFERENTIAL .
- Remove left and right OUTPUT SHAFT: .
- Disconnect the rear ride height sensor PLUG CONNECTION .
- Detach right and left CABLES .
- Disconnect the left and the right PLUG CONNECTIONS .
- If installed: release the CABLE .
- If installed: release the WIRING HARNESS .
- Detach rear left and right BRAKE CALIPER .
- Prepare the SPECIAL TOOL .
- Support the rear AXLE SUPPORT
- Release the rear left and right from the wheel carrier spring strut SHOCK ABSORBER .
- Detach REAR AXLE .
- Remove rear AXLE SUPPORT
- Loosen the left and right anti-roll bar anti-roll BAR LINK .
WARNING:
Motor vehicle may slip off the vehicle hoist if the weight is distributed unevenly.
Danger! Life-threatening injuries!
Danger! Life-threatening injuries!
- Ensure there is a specific weight compensation on the motor vehicle.
Follow-up Work
- Secure the left and right anti-roll bar, anti-roll BAR LINK .
- Install the rear AXLE SUPPORT .
- Secure REAR AXLE .
- Secure rear left and right wheel carrier air SUSPENSION STRUTS .
- Lower and put away the SPECIAL TOOL
- Secure rear left and right BRAKE CALIPER .
- If installed: fasten CABLE .
- If installed: connect the CABLE .
- Connect the left and right CONNECTOR .
- Secure right and left CABLES .
- Connect the rear ride height sensor CONNECTOR .
- Replace the left and right drive flange radial SHAFT SEAL .
- If reusing: check the left and right output shaft and replacing the SNAP RINGS .
- Install the left and right OUTPUT SHAFT
- Install rear AXLE DIFFERENTIAL .
- Secure the rear axle differential left and right OUTPUT SHAFT
- Check/top up oil level in the rear AXLE DIFFERENTIAL .
- Secure the rear axle differential PROPELLER SHAFT .
- Install the rear HEAT SHIELD .
- If installed: install the torsion struts MOUNTING BLOCK .
- Install EXHAUST SYSTEM .
- Install the left and right camber control arm COVER .
- Install tank COVER
- Install the left and right rear WHEEL .
